Saint_Johni - 8-5-2007 at 07:32 PM

Just this morning around 1 a.m. a friend gave me a gift and it was a cd by "Blood for Blood" called "Outlaw Anthems ". It kicks major ass. I cant believe that I never heard of these guys. This cd is now one of my all time faves. I cant stop spinning it.

^^^^^^^^ Is this Rob?

MyOwnWay - 8-5-2007 at 09:45 PM

Fake poster.

1. Outlaw Anthems is nowhere near their best.

2. How was this his first post on Thorp, when all Thorp released was Serenity.

3. I've been drinking and I dont feel like being nice.

4. This guy needs to buy Livin in Exile and Serenity. Then talk to me about how much BFB "kick ass".

DaveMoral - 8-5-2007 at 09:46 PM

Outlaw Anthems is my wife's fave.

tireironsaint - 8-5-2007 at 10:30 PM

It's my favorite of theirs too. And I wouldn't presume that people would like Ramallah if they like BFB, I love Blood For Blood but can't tolerate Ramallah at all. I am a little curious how anybody into HC at all could NOT know who BFB are at this point though.

BDx13 - 8-5-2007 at 11:23 PM

so, Saint_Johni, are you new to hardcore?

forsaken - 8-6-2007 at 05:14 AM

First album i got was Livin in Exile, loved it but sorta lost touch with the band until I was in a record store in Virginia Beach and they were playing Serenity. Picked up most albums since then, they're all pretty good.

hahaha, this is pretty good but I think those albums are just as bad...B4B took a shit on the last song of Revenge on Society in my eyes, the minute Rob started having more visible input than songwriting and backups was the minute the band starting going downhill fast. recycling riffs, recycling lyrics...white trash this, white trash that...fuck you, fuck this, white trash blah blah..feel sorry for me...just boring.

clevohardcore - 8-6-2007 at 09:41 AM

It has to be a fake post.

JawnDiablo - 8-6-2007 at 10:06 AM

i thought they kept getting better
i like outlaw anthems and serenity alot.
however i must agree the whole white trash hard croe rock n roll fuck you fuck you fuck you schtick was getting old by time livin in exile was in circulation...but whatever.

JawnDiablo - 8-6-2007 at 10:06 AM

Ramallah's Kill A Celebrity was the best metal record in the year it was released.

clevohardcore - 8-6-2007 at 10:22 AM

All B4B was awsome. Nothing sucked from them.

well if you type Blood For Blood into Google;

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=blood+for+blood

you get a result for the B4B wiki page almost at the top.

when you go to the wiki page;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_for_Blood

there is barely any info, except a discography, a link for Victory and a link for Thorp. Victory doesn't have a messageboard. the discography stops at the Throp release. Thorp does have a board.

maybe he's young. maybe he's only recently into hardcore. i was listening to HC for almost 15 years before i heard B4B.

You will never convince me that is what happened.

it's more metal in musical style from where I'm standing.
It's def the best record I heard, of that persuation that year. Still a favorite.

Jason the Magnificent - 8-7-2007 at 07:58 AM

Its defintiely more metal than Blood for Blood that part I get, I'm not knocking that you dig it either...but opinions aside I don't think it would fit in the top 10 of metal albums that year. I'm terrible with what comes out what year or else I'd rattle off a list of random stuff...but again that would be my opinion and not really relative to anything. When I think of all the old metal dudes I know though that are also pretty savvy on whats going on in HC, Ramallah isn't even a blip on their radar.

I'm going to go back to listening to the new Ringworm.
