Operation Ivy's "Energy" due in November

BDx13 - 8-8-2007 at 12:05 PM

from punknews...

After multiple push backs, the re-release for Energy has been given a new date. It will be released November 6, 2007 via Rancid/Hellcat Records.

As with the original Lookout! release, the disc compiles the original Energy album, the Hectic EP and the Turn It Around songs. No word on any bonus material has been released. However, the disc is expected to be remastered and repackaged in a digipak.

The album was last released via Lookout! Records, but pulled from the label after a series of financial problems. It is widely considered one of the most significant and influential ska/punk albums of all time.

looks like the early vinyl pressings (with the label's old mailing address) go for quite a bit. $50 for the Energy LP and $68 for the Hectic EP. Damn. I like Op Ivy, but for those prices I'd sell mine.

You've been making me feel like an asshole lately the way you keep posting these dollar amounts for records I sold for next to nothing years ago. Oh well, the peace of mind knowing that nobody's gonna pull that shit outta my collection and throw it on is worth something anyway.
