seems the consensus around here is that Metallica was cool in the 80s.
maybe it's old news, but at:

they have free soundboard shows, some of which are from the golden age.
all you have to do is register and accept the auto install for their DL manager.
the quality of the recordings is great and the DL speed is fast.

That Hammersmith show is just a few days before Cliff died too.

i'm hoping rick rubin saves their asses on this new album. at least there will be solos on it. i want another "ride the lightning"
