I don't have an answer to what is happening in Iraq. I just thought this article was pretty interesting:

good article, thanks for the link. I suspect most of the actual policy makers don't want to see the reality of that situation up and close. it'd be
nice to see someone step up to the plate but i'm not holding my breath.
