There are some funny names out there, and I see many now that I'm working in collections. A few I've see this week alone;

Mannhore (first name)
Mannmeat (first name)
Kun Buth (say it aloud, sounds like Coon Booth)

The best ones come about because the cell phone company I'm collecting for allows people to change the name that comes up on call display when they call somebody. Then the billing is changed to that name as well. My boss has posted some up on a board for laughs. Some of those include:

The Count
John F'nrules
Joe Isking
Mike Hunt (the classics never die)
Matt the Magician
El Fantastico

and they wonder why we sometimes have trouble tracking people down.

oh shit, that's funny.

That makes me sad. I'm sure he's a good dude and all but I still feel sad for him.

I have no idea what I'd change my name to on my cell phone caller ID. It would be fun though.

Last summer I worked with a guy named Nimrod. He was from Hungary, and apparently it's a normal name over there.

Nothing like naming your kid after a Biblically vilified Babylonian tyrant!

Seriously... Aquanetta. Wow. Parents hair metal fans or something?

I knew a guy that changed his name to Aaron Edge on the same day I changed my name.

Did you change your name too a muslim name? If so, why is it that so many people their names when they convert to Islam? Is it a requirement? Not trying to sound ignorant, just curious.
