I was really excited to goto my training which will last until Friday. Of course something usually goes wrong and sure enough I woke up the sickest
I've been in over a year. I still made it through the first day (4 hours). I was supprised when I showed up because the other 2 people who got the job
were alot older then me, probably in their mid 40's-50's. Which actually was kinda cool that the people at Youth Services picked me out of all the
younger people that applied for the job (apparently their was alot). We did some paperwork for the first hour and a half then headed over to the house
where the homeless kids will be staying. We went over the layout of the house and talked about what needs to be done everynight and then talked
alittle about some of the kids who would be staying there. Thursday we will be doing our first overnight stay, It will be the 3 of us and our
supervisor the administrative director of the house. There wont be any kids moving in until the 1st of Oct but we're doing it to get to know eachother
better and do some senareos.
Overall it was ALOT of info to take in on the first day but we'll review it over the next 3 days. Im really excited to start working and help people
out and take on all the responsibilites, and of course not to have to wash dishes again for a job.

Thanks for sharing your successes. I remember my first non-kitchen job, it was like heaven.

Im doing my first overnight stay right now.Its 5AM and im so fucking tired. I have 3 hours to go then I can go home and goto bed for 7 hours then its
back to my other job which I will only be working until Sunday then im done. There are no kids at the house now but come Tuesday (my first real day of
work) their will be 3 kids. We discussed their cases tonight so we know what we're dealing with and their current situation. I'm really excited to
start working with the youth and help them get their lives on track. I have alot of life experience and good life skills to offer them. It will be
nice to make a positive change in their lives.

sunrise is the hardest part of all nighters. it's like, you get a little bump when you realize it's morning, then you're like, "fuck, it's tomorrow"!
congratulations again.
