$30.00 to see the Dropkick Murphys. Thats fucking crazy. Same band I have seen tons of times back when they were alot better for $6.00 - $10.00 at the very most.

joemaconmovies - 9-27-2007 at 10:56 AM

what clubs did you see them at? the avalon gets more expensive and dkm sells out pretty much every time.

Jason the Magnificent - 9-27-2007 at 12:29 PM

I paid $60 to see Venom play 35 minutes last year.

OUCH

tell me about it, shitty set list too.

now Celtic Frost who charged the same price for their tour, played an hour+ set and earned their money.

JawnDiablo - 9-27-2007 at 01:45 PM

i always wanted to see Venom.
Motorhead too....

gavin - 9-27-2007 at 01:57 PM

i say good for them
charge $30
esp since im sure they are living off band money at this point

upyerbum - 9-27-2007 at 03:24 PM

I don't what sort of rider they've got, but they could go for a bigger cut of liquor sales and keep the ticket prices lower, and still go home with the same amount of cash.

clevohardcore - 9-27-2007 at 07:49 PM

Ya Cleveland was $30 for tix but that included "service charge" I mean theft from ticketmaster. The show was $22 with $8 service charge.

upyerbum - 9-27-2007 at 07:56 PM

When you're makin' money everyone wants a piece.

Discipline - 9-27-2007 at 08:10 PM

I won't pay that much for most bands, but I will for a few, including DKM. I want those dudes to get rich cuz they've earned it.

MikeCore - 9-27-2007 at 08:56 PM

We just paid $120 for Police tix. It better be the BEST SHOW EVER!

I'm talking about seeing them in 1997 - 1998 era at smaller clubs. The good old days. I am still a diehard that thinks Al should have stuck with the Bruisers and Miek with DKM.

yah, i ran into those when mike left. oh well. the bruisers were pretty much dead with al being the only member. god, people complain toooooo much about everything.

JawnDiablo - 10-1-2007 at 11:13 AM

I'd be willing to fork over $30 to see DKM.
Only thing is here in Phila, after the service charges and shit it would be closer to $50.
I like the band allot and wish them all the success / earnings possible.
They look to be doing well, but I doubt they are ever going to be rich to the point where you see them on some shit like cribs or something. Even with record sales, what's a band make off of each cd sold these days? I thought the percentage to go to the artist wasn't too huge...

joemaconmovies - 10-1-2007 at 01:07 PM

i've heard ken is a millionaire but only cause he's been with the band since the beginning and writes most if not all the songs.

JawnDiablo - 10-1-2007 at 01:57 PM

damn.
good for him then.
he deserves it.

Lucabrasi - 10-1-2007 at 02:57 PM

I would pay $30 to see the Original DKM but not the newschool one. As much as I dont like DKM at this point in their carrier if you're an artist and do it full-time then you should make enough to live off of. If $30 a ticket is what they need then so be it, I wont be paying it though.
