hahaha...I was going to mention denny's....maybe we can start a class action lawsuit.

I tip some even for bad service but Denny's has had several visits from me where NO tip at all was made. You really have to be running a clusterfuck of an operation to not get a tip from me.

I only go there in a pinch which fortunatley is once every 6 or so years.

I was in da Cracker Barrel last Sunday for some breakfast and I saw 2, yes 2 T shirts with "PROUD NUBIAN PRINCESS" stamped on them.
Now what the hell does that mean?
Worst of all it drew my eyes to their extra chubby midsections and fat rolls hangin out of the shirt...sheesh!

I've never used the term African-American. And I've NEVER heard a black person where I'm from (which is 60% black) refer to themselves as African-American.

I'm curious. In Canada do all the PC people and media and shit refer to black people as African-Canadians?

I think the context of the term "african-american" or "afro-american" is important to note. It's basically from Malcolm X coining "afro-american" with his Organization for Afro-American Unity. This was in a time when "black" and "negro" were the standard terms referencing the black community and often with a derogative tone.

My parents go to Cracker Barrel all the time. I always hated that place. I think it's because they used to use sour dough bread for damn near everything and I don't see how anyone can like that shit unless you're from San Francisco. That shit's not down home, I've never been to a home south of the Mason-Dixon line that had sour dough bread in it...
