As I'm planning to be at Fun Fun Fun in Austin, this should be the first time in several years that I've seen them. They'll never match up to the first time I saw them though. When they played Austin on their first tour it was one of my all time best shows. I'll never forget that night and not just because it ended up being my first night in jail.

yeah man I think I saw them with DRI wen i was in 9th or 10th grade.
i was like fuck, these guys are real.

tireironsaint - 10-4-2007 at 09:45 PM

Yeah, they were playing with DRI at the show I was talking about too. I didn't think they were touring together, but it's entirely possible. I was in High School and in 11th grade. This was on the Monday of Spring Break that year. Blood, Sweat, And No Tears had just come out.

With any luck I'll be at the Austin show.

No shit? We'll hafta figure it out as it gets to be that time, it'd be cool to meet someone from here. I've known a few people that turned up on here, but never the other way around.

Yeah sounds good.

Spoiler - 10-4-2007 at 10:46 PM

No North Carolina dates (surprise Surprise).
The first time that I saw them live was in 1995 at the very first Warped Tour.
I didn't get into SOIA until "Just Look around" came out.

bombidol - 10-5-2007 at 04:22 AM

They played Ireland a year or two back, talked to Lou and he was a good guy. Trying to get them back over at some stage

BDx13 - 10-5-2007 at 10:07 AM

the first time i met those dudes they were at my high school here in pa.
this is back in 89 or something when i was all of like 15.
this girl in my school was friends with them, they were in town for a show (at unisound, i think), and came to our school at the end of the day to pick her up.
seeing them in the parking lot was kinda...unexpected.

XHonusWagnerX - 10-5-2007 at 10:08 AM

I got lucky and I was on 11 dates of a Slapshot tour that was with SOIA so I got to see them every night!

Discipline - 10-5-2007 at 05:43 PM

First time I saw SOIA was was in like 1991. They were the opening band for the show. They were playing with Napalm Death, Sacred Reich, and Nuclear Assault.
