Ive heard stories about Vinnie having a magical "Wireless" on his guitar, but if you go behind the cabs you can see that they both run to the other guy and Vinnies head is plugged into nothing and upon closer inspection his wireless is a Marlboro back wrapped in electral tape!

I've also heard that was a joke somebody told which became an urban legend for hardcore.

I know someone that has a video showing all that in detail, BUT maybe it was just once and he usually plays with low volume or maybe he can really play.

I seen him live as the only guitar player a few years back when they were tourin in suport of somethings gotta give.
however i even have some old madball footage of him on stage and it just dont look like hes playin.
but alas
dudes one of the genres most colorful personalities ever.
so i hope hes around forever.

dannynsk - 10-22-2007 at 01:07 PM

He's playing, NSK has played a ton of shows with AF. We have another in January, thats some urban legend shit!

I've heard that story on several different occasions. I'm gonna' go out on a limb and say it stems from that TV spot they did way back, where they are lipsynching and air guitaring their way through "Victim in Pain" . It was the early 80's, that shit wasn't gay yet. ;)

Definitely didn't come from that cuz Stigma's not even IN that clip! They play as a 3 pc with Roger on vocals/guitar.

As for the legend of Stigma, I haven't seen them in a while but I was on stage at Hellfest a few years ago, I stood behind his amp and he was definitely plugged in that night.

That doesn't mean anything, the unplugged story starts there and then attaches itself to Stigma, cuz he's Stigma. Urban legends take on a life of their own. Thats the only time I know of where Af are clearly unplugged.

JawnDiablo - 10-23-2007 at 10:32 AM

I seen the clip of them as a 3 piece yous are talking of.
Roger looks like he's from Welcome Back Kotter with that haircut....

bombidol - 10-23-2007 at 01:13 PM

I would gladly swop my life for stigma's. For about a week, just to see whats going on in his fuckin head.
