Apparently they broke up.:(

XHonusWagnerX - 10-26-2007 at 01:54 PM

Damn... that sucks. I wonder what Rob will do next and how long it will be before he does something musical again. Hes such a great song writer, I hope he doesnt just dissapear!

MyOwnWay - 10-26-2007 at 02:10 PM

I refuse to give up hope on Sinners and Saints and Blood For Blood.

Jason the Magnificent - 10-26-2007 at 02:14 PM

Hopefully the Blood for Blood legacy doesn't get dragged through the mud any further...whats next...the B4B synth pop era?

I have absolutely no idea what this even means.

Discipline - 10-26-2007 at 03:53 PM

It means he hated the last few Blood For Blood releases.

hardtone - 11-3-2007 at 10:35 AM

RAMALLAH and BLOOD FOR BLOOD both rule for different reasons. I hope one of those bands starting playing out soon…

bombidol - 11-3-2007 at 11:06 AM

Was never really into ramallah myself, always thought there was a nu metal element to it. But its always a shame to see bands breaking up

Mark Lind - 11-3-2007 at 06:15 PM

A one man band can't break up! You guys know that none of the dudes in the touring Ramallah played on the records, right? Rob did all that shit by himself with a session drummer. Even the other names listed inside the cd are fake.

Rob's doing great. 11 months clean and sober. I lent him an acoustic guitar in June and he has written about 30 songs on it. He's talking about going it alone for a record. No band. Elliott Smith style with haunting songs and melodies. Acoustic/electric guitar..... piano... vocals.... percussion that he can play himself. That idea might sound strange to fans of his old stuff but it will be awesome because he can really play whatever he wants and it always goes through the Rob Lind filter. It never sounds like "hardcore", "rock n' roll" or "nu metal". It always sounds like Rob Lind playing that kind of stuff. If there is anyone out there that could possibly pick up where dudes like John Lennon and Elliott Smith left off then its Rob. We'll see what unfolds. Music is pretty much the last of his priorities these days.

bombidol - 11-3-2007 at 06:43 PM

Maybe its just the production on the cds thats giving me a nu metal vibe, i will say this though. the lyrics are great.

Mark Lind - 11-3-2007 at 06:53 PM

There are definitely some nu metal elements to it. A lot of people say that. I don't think he necessarily set out to do that but that sort of comparison is hard to avoid when you bring a keyboard into it like he did.

Six66Mike - 11-3-2007 at 09:32 PM

I thought one of the last updates he did about BFB & Ramallah new stuff he also mentioned back then wanting to do something solo & acoustic. I hope he does it, it'll sound awesome for sure. Glad everything is going well.

i was getting kinda worried.

I understand the Nu Metal comparison, but when I listen to RAMALLAH all I hear is pure anger, frustration, & rage.

Jason the Magnificent - 11-3-2007 at 10:34 PM

John Lennon?

That is great to hear! I hope the best for him and hope he can stay clean this time. I know what it's like having a heroin addicted brother, but mine likes to hop from jail, rehab, and the living in the streets.

Is he still working on a book? I am looking forward to a book by him BADLY. I can only imagine what images he can paint with a whole ook to work with rather than a 3 minute song.

Like I said, I wish him the best and also... I knew he was down right now, but I know he's not out. He'll be back when the time is right for him and thats how he needs to handle it.

upyerbum - 11-4-2007 at 10:25 AM

You can't rush that shit. The "scene" isn't going anywhere, it'll be ready for him when he's ready.

Spoiler - 11-4-2007 at 11:44 AM

thanks for the update Mark....I'm looking forward to anything he puts out....I've loved everything that he's done so far.

JawnDiablo - 11-4-2007 at 01:09 PM

Glad to hear he's doing well. I've enjoyed all the material with his name credited to it. The dude's got a natural talent and an honesty about it that stands out these days. I'm looking forward to hearing whatever he comes up with. I'm sure I'll dig it.

Thats awesome to hear. Really looking forward to his acoustic stuff. I knew Rob did all the Ramallah stuff on his own. Poor choice of wording on my part.

CR83 - 11-5-2007 at 10:37 AM

Wish him the best. Glad to hear he is sober. That is a tough battle. Good on him.
