Got this for review from Organized Crime Records. Got to be honest, not really digging it much thus far. I'll have to give it a couple more listens.

not half bad

panzerkreuzer - 11-14-2007 at 06:38 AM

as i said before i think they´re really good, but i was surprised that they have this strong new orleans influence. so, not a complete sheer terror rip off :)

I'm still tryin' to figure out what the fuck this means. You think they sound like Jazz or Ragtime stuff?

I doubt it. Look at the metal band Soilent Green, they have a NOLA sound but it is devoid of both of those genres. I guess what he means is it is has a bit of a "dirty" sludgy sound perhaps? A bit more rocked out than most bands even.

tireironsaint - 11-14-2007 at 11:42 PM

Hmm, I've never heard of that as a description for anything musically outside of Blues and Jazz based stuff before. I don't really hear the common thread with Soilent Green, but I get what you mean about the rocked out, dirty sound.

wtf just happened here
MM and the Saint both agree on a new band being good

this is the end of times
the planets have aligned and we are all doomed

fuck bye everybody

tireironsaint - 11-15-2007 at 01:52 AM

I know it, somethin' really odd is going on. We both really like Death & Taxes too. If I don't wake up tomorrow, it's been good knowing you guys!

panzerkreuzer - 11-15-2007 at 08:00 AM

what i mean are this slow, heavy rock parts, which remind me of down, or the later c.o.c.
german metalheads call this new orleans sound or stoner rock.

yeah,I hear what your saying....you really can't hear it much in the songs they have on myspace....but you can in the other songs on the disc.

that´s why i was suprised. the myspace tracks are more straight up. nonetheless a really good disc.

CR83 - 11-15-2007 at 10:36 AM

Man, I like what I hear on their myspace. I'll look into this for sure.

Voodoobillyman - 11-15-2007 at 02:32 PM

fuck....this not having access to myspace is a bitch sometimes! I am actually taking notes now so when I do get a chance to get back to the internet crack site I will have all of these recommended bands to look into. I will get caught back up someday
