Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

pork roll and a ducky boys shirt

JawnDiablo - 11-15-2007 at 05:31 PM

so.......
I went to WaWa to get me some pork roll and bread and milk.
the clerk sees my shirt and is like..what are ducky boys?
I say a band from boston.
shes like oh what kinda music are they?
I tell her I guess I would say a good rock n roll band with punk influences.
shes like oh, i dont like the red sox....
ummm ok

on a side note.
my brother lives in Austin Tx.
He goes in the supermarket and buys some pork roll.
the clerk is like, what do you use this stuff for?
hes like, I eat it, for breakfast and whenever else I am feeling it.
clerks like, really, thats weird.

my conclusion:
most people are just uninformed, uncultured retards.

dont even ask about the questions ive gotten about my thorp and bad vibes t shirts...

I hate questions about Tshirts Im wearing. Makes me wish people would mind their own buisness. I dont go around saying "whats Old Navy?"

I've beens asked about my shirts more times than I can count over the years. The fun one was explaining my Ramallah shirt to a middle-eastern dude who seemed really offended by the fact I was wearing the shirt.

My Condemned 84 shirt gets a lot of looks, but I don't get many questions.

I love pork. I don't know what a pork roll is. Sounds like something you get in prison ;)

Any of my skinhead shirts get looks. Mt AF Skinhead shit gets me a lot of dirty looks depending on where I am. Same goes for mt DKM Skinhead on the MBTA shirt and a white polo shirt I have that just says skinhead in small writing on the breast.

dig this
my longtime friend Tommy works at a bar called the Khyber in philly on 2nd st. we used to head down each Sunday in the afternoon and watch Phillies games on the TV, feed the jukebox, get drunk while the sun was still up on Tom's Bloody Mary's and some Yards. The best part was people watching on 2nd street. Occasionally you'd get some middle eastern / arabian tourists thatwould come up to the window and gawk at us. This is because they'd see the sign, and in Afghanastan (sp), the Khyber Pass is theway out of Afghanistan through the mountains or something. Occasionally they'd come in, walk into where the bands played and wander out.
I love people watchin....

The trick to get people to stop at one question

"what kind of music does that band play?"

death metal

"what do your tattoos mean?"

They're satanic

I made a shirt that said "Your mother sucks cocks in hell".... No one questioned that one. Thorp Warriors I have gotten questioned on.

I have a funny story from a few years back with my Dropkick Murphys shirt.. It was an old guy that saw it and said "Ah, Dropkick Murphy... I haven't heard anything about him in a while... You like boxing I take it?" and I was just baffled. I am guessing the name comes from an old boxer or this guy was confused.
