Everyone knows I only like probablly 10 bands, but ever since I heard darkbuster they are definitly my favorite band. Just heard a new song on their myspace "good times" from some split they did with tommy & the terrors

www.myspace.com/darkbuster

Great band.

going to see them with the street dogs in a couple of weeks....looking forward to meeting the lovely Amy Griffin

argh I would love to see that show. Street Dogs were awsome at the northstar like last time I saw them. I missed their last show there though.

Fantastic band and well worth road trips for their live show. Great people and all of their family of bands are top notch as well. That split with Darkbuster is actually fairly old, but the few songs they have on it are great. I hear that a new album is in the works, but that's about all I've heard. As for the related bands, there's Lenny & The Piss Poor Boys who are a great Honky Tonk style Country band with Punk lyrics, The Raging Teens who also feature the lovely Miss Amy's guitar stylings but in a traditional Rockabilly style, Drago who are more of a straight up Hard Core band, and I know there's at least one more I'm forgetting right now.

Oh yeah, I definitely recommend getting their DVD, Drink And Fall Over, it's a great slice of Darkbuster. Two insane live shows, some videos, and a bunch of random antics.

I just realized that good times song is old. Thats cool they are working on a new album though. Same with welch boys I like them alot an they are supposed to be working on a new one

One of my favourite songs of all time.

I love Darkbuster. They're so good live. I saw them with the mahones.

Yeah, the bass player died a few months back. Sounds like it was pretty rough on everybody.

Since I started doing shows in Boston with this new band in Oct of '05 the guys in Darkbuster have been among the most supportive of anyone. We've done countless shows with them and they're always fun drunkfests. BTW, we (Death & Taxes) are also on that Street Dogs/Darkbuster show at the Roxy in Southie where we had our Bruisers reunion show a few years ago.

Yes, Jon from Lenny and the Piss Poor Boys died suddenly and everyone in the scene was shocked. Jon was a great guy, never heard a bad thing said about him. We did a couple of benefit shows for his family in Boston afterwards too. If you don't have the LPPB cd you're missing a great listen.

Why wasn't that filmed? I know that many, like myself, were too ffar away to get near that show but would have definitely spent the money to buy it on dvd.

Me and Al wanted to have Ian from Blood for Blood do a video recording of it, but right up till the last minute we thought we had it done, then something got all fucked up. I don't remember why. It wasn't Ian's fault, I know that. He was there and had volunteered. So the short answer is I don't know. Good news is we'll do it again sometime and next time it won't just be Boston.

Think Toronto. Seriously. I'll buy the first couple of rounds.
