Is Justin Broadrick the guy from Godflesh?

upyerbum - 11-28-2007 at 09:59 AM

I was into The Swans for a brief period in the 80's, never really caught me though.
Napalm Death, can't stand the grind shit, sorry.
This sounds like it might be worth a look, though.

no myspace for J2 yet, huh?

I still want to get THE SWANS cd the burning world. Can never find it.

Justin Broadrick is from Napalm Death, not Godflesh?

He was in both.

I remember a tour with both bands and he played in both sets in 1991 I think. Either way GODFLESH sucked. Sorry to all pompus fans but they do.

No offense to any of you THORP BROTHERHOOD if you really do like them, but that band really does attract some of the most critical fanatic fans. I don't get it because they suck so bad it hurts me to think of what they sound like. I even went out about 8 years ago and picked up "songs of love and hate" just to give them another chance. They suck.

^^^^^ EXACTLY. I want to like it. His connection to the sound of most 4 a.d. style bands is somethign I love. I also love the idea of metal punk hardcore whathave you. Mixing the 2 or 4 styles is very tough. Making something out of nothign is as well. When I read of JESU I think wow this will be awsome. Then I hear it and think wha tthe fuck is this shit. Same with GODFLESH. Its terrible I think.

I have that show on video. Streetcleaner is gold. I seen them a few times. Met Justin @ the middle East in 96. he was a pretty shy dude.
I was a big Godflesh fan for a while.
Made some similar music myself, very stripped down mind you on a tascam porta 2 years ago,.
He played on Scum, Napalm's official first release.
Jesu was like ehhh....wsn't what I was expecting.
I'd check this band out but I dunno.
