Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

ATTENTION: Bombidol, Guinness Red and all THORP members who may want to take part

This is a idea and I am not sure how possible it may be. If we can do this I would be much abliged to Bombidol and Ireland of course.

How possible is it to have this new tasty beverage called Guinness red sent to the United States, or Canada or anywhere else. MAybe someone who is familiar with shipping and UPS or USPS would know more. If myself or others had bombidol get it?

I totally understand if Bombidol does not want to do this. It would be a pain in the ass I am sure, but I know some of us would be greatful appreciative, etc.

If anyone is interested AND OF COURSE bombidol is in then we should make it happen. I want to try this beer. I found myself staring at the screen on GUINNESS.com and this idea hit me.

AGAIN. Only if bombidol is in and others are into the idea.

Also if this is a bad idea then you should say so. I just can't figure out any other way to get my hands on such a possibly tasty beverage without flying to Ireland.

also I just added you bombidol to my myspace

You can't send beer through the regular mail, I've tried, they don't appreciate it. I'm not sure about a private shipping company, we just ordered some food and shit from Germany that my wife can't get here, it wasn't cheap, but they send us some bottles of sauce and shit, so you might be able to ship beer.

Thats what I thought but wasn't sure. I ahve ordered wine through companies in Cali before but that was it. Not sure of international shipping. I figured UPS or FED EX would be able to get it here.

I WANT GUINNESS RED!

bombidol - 12-8-2007 at 06:38 AM

I'll look into this. The problem here is that this is a special edition Guinness thats usually not sold at liquor stores, only in pubs. I could probably get a keg of it. But shipping a keg is going to cost crazy fucking money. AND I assume not everyone looking for it is in the same state.

Theres two more of the special editions.

From what I am gathering it wont work. I have checked around and for some fucking reason the importing of beer through the mail is a no no. I am positive that my conclusion is this. The government will not allow it simply becasue they can't tax it. I am really beginning to not like business operations of this highly taxed supposed capitalist economy. It's government and a few people who own corporations that dictate. This fucking sucks. AT LEAST GIVE ME THE ABILITY TO ENJOY A GUINNESS. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!
