Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

bye bye Borat & Ali G

It's a sad day http://www.dailystab.com/blog/uncategorized/rip-borat-and-al...

Sacha Baron Cohen is retiring the outrageously anti-Semitic, homophobic Kazakh journalist Borat as well as his alter ego, aspiring rapper Ali G.

Cohen readily admits he is more comfortable talking in the guise of the characters he has created, but unfortunately for him, both Ali G and Borat have had their day. Too many people know them and he reluctantly acknowledges that he can no longer retreat behind their personas.

Never saw Ali G but Borat the movei was funny.

Sorry to say but I called htis when I saw the movie with a freind. He thought this guy was genius but I thought how can he do this anymore? It so huge and that would be like ELVIS in the late 70's trying to "Movie" Elvis of the 60's again. It just wouldn't work. He wouldn't have felt the character. Elvis just wanted peanutbutter and Mayo sandwiches then.

He is making a movie with his Bruno character. Basically, Bruno is a gay german reporter that pisses off people going to beaches and interviewing frat kids, showing how gay they are. Bruno at the Skinhead rally is pretty funny shit too.
