Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

Knight Rider 2008

XHonusWagnerX - 1-10-2008 at 02:07 PM

Two Hour Movie Event Sunday, February 17th
KNIGHT RIDER

Executive Producer Doug Liman ('The Bourne Identity' Franchise and 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith') and Executive Producer David Bartis ('The O.C' and NBC's 'Heist') have joined together to bring back the 1980's television classic "Knight Rider." The two-hour movie event brings KITT and a talented cast of young and seasoned actors into the 21st century with speed, drama, love and triumph. David Hasselhoff as a special guest star returns as Michael Knight.

Mike Tracer a bitter former Army Ranger and failed race car driver, just got a new lease on life, neither he cares for or wants this chance to make up for his past failings. FLAG wants a new driver, but he is hesitant to join this mysterious group and doubts this super car or he can make a difference. He's got problems, he's in debt and people want to kill him. The choice is all too obvious for him and the Knight Industries Three Thousand (K.I.T.T).

K.I.T.T. is a Shelby Mustang now...

Discipline - 1-10-2008 at 02:19 PM

Why can't they come up with anything original anymore? G.I. Joe and The A-Team are coming to the big screen too.

JawnDiablo - 1-10-2008 at 02:50 PM

I'll take it. Better then all the gay reality shows that the networks push these days. I want that car. Don't get me wrong I love the old Trans Am but it couldn't touch the Shelby Mustang.

JawnDiablo - 1-10-2008 at 03:54 PM

true, very true, the shelby would kick the shit out of that anemic 305 ci V8 in the TA that may have been weezing out 170 hp at the max....
I used to have an 89 TA...that car was fun...felt like a guido at times but fun indeed...until i wreked it

That's what I've been saying for years. Nothing original from these Hollywood fruits.
Can I still use the word fruit??

Siczine.com - 1-10-2008 at 05:03 PM

Damn that Shelby looks vicious. Stupid to breath new life into a show that wasn't good to begin with but at least they improved the car.

JawnDiablo - 1-10-2008 at 05:14 PM

Hasselhof rules.

Only to describe an orange.

The car is pretty bad ass except for the wing on the back. I think thats kind of ugly! I just wish that it was Mr. Feeny doing the voice again, but its not. :(

Yeah, remove the wing and you got a perfect car. Feeny ruled....MMMIIICHAEL ;)

DaveMoral - 1-10-2008 at 07:17 PM

I hope they give it some kind of continuity, like this new KITT isn't supposed to be the original KITT in any way. Just another AI program in another car. I probably won't watch it though, it'll just annoy me.

The thing I read says that the Cobra is KNIGHT 3000 if I remember correctly K.I.T.T. was KNIGHT 2000 so that would mean that this car is the next step in the same technology.

that is one ugly ass car.

the original was so cool in that mullet, skid kinda way

MyOwnWay - 1-10-2008 at 11:43 PM

Not really feelin the car. I agree, Kitts a trans am. Kinda like bumblebee not being an old VW in transformers.

Now the a-team. That would be interesting...

Voodoobillyman - 1-11-2008 at 01:38 AM

Has anyone seen anything in regards to the GI Joe movie? I think that could be cool, if done right.

Voodoobillyman - 1-11-2008 at 01:40 AM

I had a buddy that had Multiple Sclerosis (sp?) he was in a bad way and got hooked up withj the make a wish foundation, this was years back. He wanted to meet Michael Knight (Hasselhoff) He said he was a douche and he wished he could have changed his wish to meeting Hulk Hogan. RIP Danny, I still love ya man

XnMeX - 1-11-2008 at 07:40 AM

About the A-Team.... There is talks of having Ice Cub play B.A. (Mr. T's character.

I can see that.

BDx13 - 1-11-2008 at 09:26 AM

i'd watch it if cube was involved.

JawnDiablo - 1-11-2008 at 09:56 AM

I like Cube.

XHonusWagnerX - 1-11-2008 at 10:46 AM

Ill see an A-Team movie no matter what, but I would worry if Ice Cube is in it that it would be a comedy. I know Ice Cube has been in dramas and what not, but most of his recent stuff is comedy.

Im worried about a GI Joe movie too. I dont want it to be a generic war movie. I think it NEEDS a ton of reconizable characters. But how do you link together some Soldiers, a Marine, a blind Ninja, a Pirate and an Indian!?!

JawnDiablo - 1-11-2008 at 11:06 AM

Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow!
oh what a nerd I am that I remember all those names....destro, Cobra Commander, Gung Ho, Shipwreck, Zartan and the Dreadnocks....

BKT - 1-11-2008 at 12:44 PM

I aint really feeling that car either. And that show was kind of lame as well.

MM.

They've killed it before they even started. It will be "G.I.J.O.E, (a backronym for Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity), instead of the US-centric team featured in all previous incarnations in order to internationally market the film"

They figure if they make it like the old series it will be too "pro-American" which would hurt slaes outside North America. So now it's going to be some gay-ass multi-nation group. They'll probably work for the U.N. or something.

The film will feature Destro and the Baroness as the main villains, the Dreadnoks as mercenaries and Cobra's hired muscle, and Cobra Commander in a "puppet master" role. Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow's rivalry will be one of the film's main plot points.[5] The film will take place ten years in the future.[7]

Sienna Miller has signed on to play the Baroness, with Ray Park playing Snake-Eyes. Byung-hun Lee and Rachel Nichols have signed on to play Storm Shadow and Scarlett respectively while Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Said Taghmaoui have signed on to play Heavy Duty and Breaker. Marlon Wayans has signed on to portray Ripcord

Needless to say, I'm fucking pissed.

Ripcord was white. Thats gay. I hate when they change the race of a character for no reason! Like making KINGPIN black in the Daredevil movie and making Terry white in the Spawn movie.

To be straight, when Marvel started their Ultmate universe they changed Nick Fury from white to black, and he's better for it. Especially since alot of the art seems to take Sam Jackson as inspiration.

I'm a bit surprised that anybody gives a shit about any of this. These were all stupid kid shows. I admit that I enjoyed most of them at one point as a kid, but I have ZERO interest in movies or new TV shows based on any of them no matter who is in them or how true to the originals they are. I don't even think they would make good shows for kids nowadays, let alone for adults. I don't get this kind of shit whatsoever.

JawnDiablo - 1-12-2008 at 10:03 AM

I loved GI Joe toys as a young lad.......but after I got my son the first season of the GI Joe cartoon from the 80s I realized it was cheese....but better cheese than the kids have these days....snake eyes / storm shadow were the shit, as well as the dreadnocks...blimey ripper

I still love the A-Team to this day. I still like GI Joe. I have a couple of seasons on dvd, and while they're cheesy as all hell I still get a kick out of watching them. Plus, like Dave said, the Dreadnoks rule.

So, you didn't like Transformers? I'll admit I can't watch the cartoon anymore cause I'm 32 now but IMHO it was one of the best movies of 2007.

No. I went with a group of people who wanted to see it and thought that it was ok as eye candy, but a horrible fucking movie.

DaveMoral - 1-14-2008 at 12:22 AM

Transformers sucked.
