How do you feel about the name Beatdownfest 2005?

I've heard people, even "tough guys", saying that this is about the last thing the scene needs right now. That the name alone is just inviting meatheads to come and start trouble. What do you think?

------
Beatdownfest 2005 is slated to take place on April 8th at the East Coast Terminal Skatepark in Johnson City, NY. Tickets will be $12 at the doors, which open at 4 PM. Here's the line-up:

Sworn Enemy
100 Demons
Shattered Realm
Break Your Face
The Classic Struggle
Strength For A Reason
Back Of Tha Neck
Swear To God
CDC
Recon
Any Last Words
Escape Grace
Summer's End

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

i think it's stupid. but those bands playing in new york sounds like it would be trouble anyway. i wish it was something sweet, i'd travel for it. but the four bands i'd watch, i've already seen. a couple times.

Just trying to capitalize on the hype from the Boston Beatdown dvd. It'll be meathead central.

I think it sounds like what it appears to be from the line-up, a metal show. Actually, I don't even know who half of those bands are, but the ones I do recognize, I can't stand. As for the rest, I think the band name tells me all I need to know about them....Back Of Tha Neck? Summer's End (wait, is that a douche)? No fuckin' thanks.

i think they should beatdown the guy who named it that.

just take a look at the papers
your leaders
they\'re killers
they\'re liars
what they do in your
name to make the bodies pile higher
the murders, the terror
they\'ve done it forever
as we sit band and smile
at the script they sell us
but now the victims, they\'re rising
their numbers\'s multiplying
they want their revenge for the years
that they\'ve been dying

I don't give 2 shits what a "Fest" would be called as long as the bands were good. I go for music not some fucking name.
