Most Precious Blood & Merauder recording new albums

from lambgoat...

New York City hardcore band Merauder will enter the studio on June 10th to record a new album, their first without guitarist Sob, who passed away in 2006. Tracking will take place at Big Blue Meenie Recording Studio (Thursday) in Jersey City, NJ. No official announcement has been made thus far regarding the record label releasing the effort.

--

Most Precious Blood is currently in the studio recording their fourth album, "Do Not Resuscitate." Tracking is taking place at The Wild Arctic in Long Island City, NY with engineer Dean Baltulonis (Sick Of It All), who also recorded the band's previous two albums.

Guitarist Justin Brannan says of the new material, "While all our spineless contemporaries reach for the stars we've returned to our roots. The new songs are short, fast, hard and mean. We wrote an album to remind us of the stuff we grew up on; the music that got us into hardcore when we were teenagers. We harnessed that raw energy and power; the unbridled passion of those days at CBGB's and basements and VFW Halls across the country, sleeping on concrete floors and shoplifting for fun; back when it felt like you were really part of something different. We've checked the rock n' roll ambitions and delusional fantasies at the door and wrote a hardcore record like only we knew how."

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

man I hope the MPB is what they described. I wasn't into the last one, but love OUR LADY. They are awesome.

Excited for both!
It would be cool to hear a fast and short song styled MPB record!

I like MPB musically, but I've never liked the vocals.

Love MPB but vox are always recorded really shit. They need a good producer in that studio cause the vocal tracks always sound like they have been recorded on a cell phone
