Fine Dining

Nadine and I don't have any money after the mortgage and bills are paid. With her being in school full time for the last 6 years it's left only one steady income. This means that the two of us have learned to love the simple pleasures of cooking for one another, eating at home, riding bikes, going for walks etc. A customer of hers got her a gift certificate for christmas to this really fancy restaurant in town (150 bux) and we used it tonight.

Wow. It was so much fun and totally decadent. Here is what we had:

We did the Fixed menu.

First course:
Mussles for me and Calamari for Nadine (best i've ever tasted for both)

Second course:
Gnochi for Nadine and Veal Penne for me (Gnochi fucking rules!!!)

Third course:
Braised Lamb Shank for me and Chicken for her (fuck me the lamb shank was good)

Fourth course:
Tiramisu and Creme Brulee

Cuppacino, coffee, sparkling water and a 1/2 liter of Masi Campofiorin.

In my top 5 meals of all time. Really great service from Carlos from Milan and the Hostess was very nice. Our total bill came to $170 and $200 with tip so this crazy meal cost me $50 all up.

All in all a 9.5/10. A truly enjoyable time was had.

Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.
