credit cards
I know a lot of people use credit cards and end up with debt problems but they can be used for good too. Not sure if any of you guys use them or not,
but I just started using a new card I got for pretty much everything and paying it weekly online.
I've had cards in the past that got me points or credit for specific stuff and then I had one that got me extra % for gas purchases, but it all seems
to add up so slow!
I just got one through Citizens Bank where I have my accounts and its called "Green Sense Master Card". You have to make at least 10 purchases per
month, but you get .30 cents per purchase up to 100 purchases ($30 per month!) and they deposit the money into your checking account once a month.
Theres also no minimum purchase. Like I used it at Subway the other day for a $3 sandwich and I'll get .30 cents for that!
If you go to Citizens ask them about it!
*yes I really posted this, its not a spam post, no hacking going on!

I only have a couple store credit cards that I use, then pay off when I get the statement. I hate the feeling of owing money, yet know I'll probably
have a mortgage for the rest of my life since I have one now but really want to buy an actual house next year. When I have it I always pay more on it
then I owe, just to try to knock it down some.
The Citizens card sounds like a good deal though!

No credit card. Not a reason on earth for them and haven't had one in probably 15 years. I have a visa check card, so I can make "credit card"
purchases. Other than that I live by the if I don't have the money for it right now I don't need it right now logic. While I realize this is luxury
someone without children can afford...it is what it is.
I still had no problems financing my home or vehicles without a line of established credit and my rates aren't any worse than anyone with credit....so
I don't buy into that ideology either.

I agree with Jason 100%, but what I've been trying to do is use a credit card that benefits me to use and pay it off each month. Basicly I'm using it
as a debit card because I pay the bill weekly when I balance my check book. I just figure if I can buy a $4 sandwich and get paid .30 cents by the
bank for it, that sounds good to me!

I have one with a low credit limit for emergencies, helps out alot with car problems, nothing worse than having to shell out a couple hundred on
repairs from the wallet.

I would say the same thing but I already had my 1st months money worth of .30 cents x the number of charges I made deposited into my checking account!
