The Dirty Boston Irish Invade NYC (and B'more)
I posted about this in another thread, but figured I'd let folks know that might be interested. The Gobshites will be playing Mick O'Shea's in
Baltimore on Friday night, starting at about 9:30. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the day off to travel down there, so I wont be playing that show. I
will, however, be there when we play at Bowery Electric in NYC with the Dirges on Saturday. As I understand it, that show goes off fairly early (not
a matinee, more like an early evening show) so they can clear it out for the dance crowd later that night. So if anyone's in the area, come on out
and see us, I'd love to meet y'all.

Yeah, so last night we found out that Saturday's show has been cancelled for about a month. Fuckers.

Could be worse, we could have showed up at the club with our gear and found out then. Still sucks, but would have sucked more that way. Hopefully
we'll get down there soon. In the meantime, we're still in Baltimore on Friday (again, I'm missing the show due to work issues), and we'll be in East
Durham for a benefit for the Blackthorne Resort later in October (details are still being worked out on this). Don't know if anyone saw the story in
the NY Daily News, but this is a family owned resort in the Catskills that burned to the ground a couple weeks ago. We play there every Memorial Day
and Labor Day weekend, and it's basically our favorite place in the world to play.
Also, we just got booked to open for Hugh Cornwell at Church in Boston on 10/28. He's playing the entire Ratus Norvegicus album, plus some new stuff. I think we're working on a
cover of "Golden Brown" for the show.
