opinions on tattoos
so, what are your opinions on tattoos? i myself does not have any tattoos, but i will probably be getting some soon. the question is though, does
tattoos has to have some sort of meaning? take the full oriental sleeve for example. is it ok to do them, just because you think they look pretty
good?
it ends

I think that it depends on the individual themself BUT I fully believe that every tattoo has to have some kind of meaning to the individual kind of
like an open diary to what is in that person's heart. I know that all of mine has meaning... i.e. my pow/mia crest on my forearm represents my father
who was a pow during vietnam, my crest on my left hand is my scottish family crest, the skinhead guy on my calf is just that because I am a skinhead,
etc etc

As much as I you'd like the tattoo to have meaning, at the same time it is the person's body, time and money. As long as they are happy with it, more
power to them. When it comes down to it, it only matters what you want.

the murders, the terror
they\'ve done it forever

The 2 tats I have are band logos (BFB and Sinners & Saints) and I plan on getting a Ramallah tat real soon (when I get the money). It makes me look
like some obsesed Rob freak in a way but as logos, I LOVE them and it's the music that I love as well.
I also want to get a Maiden tat since thats what my brother had me growing up listening to (and the fact that Eddie looks badass!)

some of mine have meaning, most do not. when it comes to traditional tattoo work, i prefer accurate and authentic pieces. like with japanese
designs, most kids these days are like "i want a dragon and a lotus and some wind bars and..." and in actuality, traditional japanese tattooers won't
put elements together that don't belong.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

I have been tattooing for over ten years now, both professionally and as an "outlaw" and I have come to find that it dosent really matter. People like
what they like, whether it has meaning to them or not. Some people just like certain designs and decide to get them, others have deep feelings about
the design and make it an important event when they are chiseled. I personally have quite a few and they all mean something to me, they represent the
way I have felt through the years. Some dont fit my personality anymore but I wouldnt get rid of them.

All of mine have some meaning to me on eway or the other. i really like all of mine because they where my ideas and had them drawn up(becasue I can't
draw for shit). But still my ideas. I wanted a full sleeve but to be honest I don't want to fill my arm with crap that doesn't mean anything. I
just have a big enough idea for my whole arm. I had seen a painting I always wanted on my forearm but never found it again. Oh well.

Most of the tattoos I have mean something to me, they may not look like it to people that don't know me, but only a couple are just for the look of
'em.

Just get whatever you like and feel comfortable with, there's no rules about tat's having to have meaning or whatever.
Mine are split about 50/50 between stuff I have for a specific reason (bands logos which mean a lot to me, or other personal stuff) and others which
are purely decorative... must admit though, of the few bits I'd go back and change or re-work if I could, it's the ones which don't have any personal
meaning.

i was on my way out of my house to get a ramallah tattoo and my mom saw the image and said "whats that?" i said nothing. she says "i didnt say
anything when you got your other tattoo, but i dont want you to get this one" ...it looked sick, it was the dynamite with the clock on it with the
religous symbols(see tshirt) she told me she couldnt stop me, but then she started crying, so i decided against it. I guess she didnt want her half
arab son with a bomb on his arm. I now regret not getting it, but if i did shed probally make me feel bad and cry more.

i have a full tribal sleave on my right arm, i got a 'bugs-evil from the needle' tat on my left, a full-sized face hugger off aliens on my back and a
moauri tribal tat on the top of my left. even though they're differant to each other, they all have a meaning in one way or another cuz it reminds me
of what was goin on in my life at the time i got inked.
