Obituary
Now I know this is a "Hardcore" Board. I got Obituatry's latest album. The Drums on "Slow Death" are fucking incredible.
Man, I really dig this band. I'm an old Death Metal Head. Deicide will always be my favorite though.

Deicide is great! Im a big fan of Dark Funeral & Mayhem for more recent bands. I really like Carcass from back in the day. Going to shows in
Providence in the late 80's was awesome. Vital Remains would play like twice a month!

you know you don't have to worry what kind of board this is, chris. you wanna talk obituary, let's talk obituary! i have a picture disc of theirs,
but i forget what album it is. i haven't listened to them much since the end of my obituary/carcass/napalm death/deicide phase in the 90s.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

How does the new album compare to the old stuff?
I used to be really into them back in the 80's, have actually still got a "Cause of Death" tour shirt from 1990 somewhere.

Yeah I've seen them twice, but one time was when Chuck had left for a while and they had another 2 guys to replace him... was still a decent show.
Their first album is just amazing.

Sometimes it sucks to be one of the youngest posters on the board. I was thinking about disney world, dinosaurs and soccer in 1990.

HAha, yeah there are some advantages to being an old bastard.
Kreator are pretty good too and one of the few 80's thrash bands still going who can still pull off a decent live show, they're really as good now as
they were in the 80's. Well worth checking out if you get the chance...

I saw obituary with fear factory on FF's first tour....
I was playing guitar in a crappy death metal band back then
I saw deicide about the same time, turly talented assholes...
my favorite band form the era is still carcass, they wrote riffs I still can't imagine playing... let alone writing
the outhouse in lawerence was the best club in the mid west
