most, if not all, of the steel toe docs made now are made in China. They are not the same as the old ones made in England. I got some and was a little dissapointed. The soles weren't as good as the old ones

I'm going to switch away from Docs after this pair. I wear out the sole too fast because I walk on the outside of my feet. Only about a year that I've had this pair and I probably will have to get new ones around Christmas. It's gonna be Gripfast for me, that way I can actually replace just the sole.

i got my first pair of gripfast about two years ago. still have and i love 'em. i wore docs for years, but once they added the yellow stitching to my favorite style shoe, i had to give up. can't get on board with that damn yellow stitching.

ive had gripfast doc's and grinders and i liked grinders the best. They last me the longest and were pretty comfy. Now though i just wear sneakers because i do so much walking, i just cant walk for long distances in boots.
