did you get just the gray screen, or this...

If you get the gray screen and nothing else, you have a pop up blocker.
If you get the above, there is nothing even if it was possible to click him.
If you hit the TAB key while on flash sites, it will highlight any buttons / links.

I saw the green screen with the little elephant that doesnt move. Then the Pink screen with the elephant that moves in circles when you try to click
it. and this one... www.melvins.com/images/
but it looks like the little elephant is the only image.
