REV FUN FACT (Bringin It Down test press)
REVHQ FUN FACT
---------------
Did you know that in the early years of Revelation, sometimes test pressings would be used instead of regular copies? This is unusual because test
pressings are considered collectible. Occasionally labels were glued onto the Revelation test pressings and they were sold as regular records. Some
test pressings were sent out to radio stations and magazines as promotional copies. One such test pressing of Judge's classic album "Bringin' It Down"
found its way to a Yale radio station (WYBC) and is now in the hands of Malcolm, the owner and operator of Trash American Style in Danbury, CT. Here's
the story direct from Malcolm:
"WYBC liquidated its vinyl library in a giveaway contest. The
giveaway winner took what she liked (all classic rock) and sold the rest to an OCD type who liked to buy thousands of records at a time. He would not
listen to them. All he did was file them alphabetically. The records started to crowd him out of the house and then he got an eviction notice so out
go the records. By the time I got there (via a hot tip) all the standard collectibles were gone but NONE of the punk/hardcore/weird stuff had been
touched."
Don't believe him? Here's a pic:

I think the writing kinda adds a bit of "history" to the piece.
