stillborn fest last night
just thought i'd mention that i went to stillborn fest and it was really a good mix of bands. i missed scurvy but bought the cd. really funny, all the
songs have the pirate them to them but the music is actually really good. caught the tail end of danny diablo which didnt really break my heart. then
onto the meat and potatoes, first was subzero which i was never totally into but thought they played a great set. then full blown chaos was the metal
core segment of the night but still really good. onto sworn enemy whose guitarist was at least acting thoroughly drunk saying it was his birthday but
they were having a good time up there. singer was asking how many times we had seen a band fuck up and when people cheered he was relieved cuz they
screwed up a few times. hatebreed went on pretty late, close to 11. but played straight through til shortly after midnight. great mix of stuff from
under the knife all the way through. including a new song which although was similar to the past (big shocker) had a cool interplay of vocals from all
the band. overall good night, minimal amount of fighting and a pretty good turnout for a mid week show. peace
