you know the way things are these days, kids in the audience probably thought it was part of the show or something. or after it was all over were like "that guy with the gun wasn't so hard. i would have taken him down in the pit if the cops hadn't shot him."

here's more

that's fucked up man, playing music and getting shot? this isn't rap music! what the hell is wrong with you Americans? ok, well, not you guys, but the US have some fucked up gun nuts First the guy gets stabbed at the Cradle of Filth show and now this, which is about a million times worse. I don't know guys, this is gonna have a big impact on concerts I think. We might be seeing strip searches and metal detectors soon...

As it is I get searched at most shows I go to. But this shit is fucked up. I just want to know why, even though it's gonna be something stupid. The guy was probably pissed that Pantera was gone or something like that. Fuckin asshole.

I dont know why, but I passed on seeing Pantera several times. I was kinda hoping they'd do a reunion at some point, but now Im guessing that wont happen.

I dont really like any Pantera-related bands either. I didnt like what Damage Plan I heard and Superjoint Ritual and Down do nothing for me.

Have you ever noticed how crayons are a lot like M&M's? All the colors tend to taste the same.

I saw Pantera live on every tour they did from Cowboys From Hell through Reinventing The Steel. This is so fucked up. I met Dime when they played a little club for their Vulgar... tour and he was the nicest guy in the world. I was only like 15 at the time but he took the time to talk to me and even gave me a couple of drinks. He was fuckin cool as hell.

City TV is ass but this whole story has so many different takes on it you can't tell what to believe. I've heard 3-5 people dead, shooter killed by cop & by suicide & that Vinnie Paul was also killed with Dimebag.

The news is still not reliable after all these years, each station & network reporting something different.

Bottom line is where the fuck was security frisking people at the door before the show? Any gig here over like 500 people has security searching everyone who goes through the door. A simple pat down would have prevented this bullshit from happening.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

Since this news broke, I had been hoping investigators would find that the gunman was on pcp. Or that he was a dealer and Dimebag had ripped him off. Something... ANYTHING... other than what they've been reporting as his motive today... He was upset about Pantera breaking up. PLEASE! It doesn't get more senseless than that.
