Didn't think it was all that funny.

I like the Geico commercials. Lately the one where they spoof the Old Navy commercials has me laughing. They have a bunch of funny ones actually. There's one that spoofs a hair replacement commercial and then another that spoofs a reality show. I wonder who their advertisement agency is...

I think The MArtin Agency does the Geico commercials. I love the on where the wife asks the husband if her shirt makes her look fat. "You betcha!"

I don't know what it is about that VW ad; i hate all the rest in that series. Something about that fat guy and the way he laughs. and when he yells at the other driver. so fucking funny to me.

Check out these sites...
http://ad-rag.com or http://www.adcritic.com/ forcurrent commercials.
http://www.songtitle.info - music from commercials. i use it a lot.
http://www.x-entertainment.com/downloads/ - commercials from the 80s.

that fat guy has been in lots of commercials lately. I just recently saw him in a Capital One commercial and he's in a bunch of those NFL apparel commercials too. I wonder what it's like to make a living making commercials.

a side note here:

I was on Venice Beach when I was in LA back in 2001 I think and I saw the Dell dude, "steven" in the commercials, watching some show near the beach. This was before he got busted for weed. He was my only "celebrity" sighting during the time I was in LA. God that fucking city blows.

oh... another thing I just thought of. My girlfriend's friend works for the Ad Agency that does the VW commercials. I think it's called Arnold. She was in NYC in the early spring I think working on the set of one of their commercials. If she was quick enough I think she could have invited us to the set, but I hear it's really boring watching a commercial get made.

I dont think I'd recognize Elvis Costello if I bumped into him. That's still pretty cool though. Did you stop and chat or just say "excuse me" and move on.

I still laugh at that story you wrote where you saw that Queer Eye dude.... forgot his name. Anyway... whenever I watch that show I think of that story. "Oh... youre a big one, arent you?"

I like the dell computer tv commercial.
The guy is in the room fucking around on the computer... checking email, playing with his picture, pretending to be a drummer. his wife comes in and catches him doing all this crazy shit and askes him if hes finished paying the bills....

yo, if that were my wife, i'd divorce her. clearly, he is in his fortress of solitude, which means he is meant to be left alone. none of that "immediately popping back in" business while a guy is photoshopping his head onto an easter island statue! that's what we do where we're alone! that and look at porn on the internet, but i guess that's not appropriate for the commercial, huh?
