It happened. I heard it was sketchy. I also heard the turnout was good, which ruined the DBD turnout at The Pyramid.
So a good show, run by sketchy people wins out and a good show, run by a decent honest person kinda flops. Sucks in my opinion.
CAST ASIDE was dope.....

I didnt know anything about this fest until this thread, so I did a google search for Unity Fest and found THIS.
All I get from it is that it was poorly promoted and bands got screwed out of money.

didn't something like this (but even worse, if i remember correctly) happen about a year ago? some fest in northern PA or woodstock of hardcore or
something? wasnt the person involved in that (allegedly) named sarah, too? all i remember was that she had like three different personas.

That was the Woodstock of HArdcore thing. People talking it up and ads online listing like a million bands, but it never happened. A lot of bands
even came out and said that they were listed as being booked but had never spoken to anyone about it, they were never contacted. I don't know if it's
the same cunt as this mess though.

I said it after the Woodstock thing and I'll say it again... WHY DO PEOPLE BOOK THEIR BANDS ON FESTS RUN BY PEOPLE THAT NOBODY FUCKING KNOWS? Most of
the bands involved in that Unity Fest thing have been around for years.... if the first I'm hearing of a promoter is them booking a big festival, I'M
NOT TOUCHING IT! Prove yourself first before jumping into some big shit. Otherwise it usually ends up being a scam (Unity Fest, Woodstock, etc). Even
people with all the hookups don't even have their shit together (Hellfest).
I've been in the scene for 16 years, been booking shows for my own bands for at least 10 years... I'm certainly not doing big business with someone
who popped out of nowhere. Everybody talks to everybody in hardcore.. if nobody can vouch for you, then you've gotta prove yourself. Best to be safe
than sorry... these touring bands especially NEED that money or they don't eat that night.
That's two big ones now where people got suckered. And once again I bet no one put hands on this silly bitch. Beating these people out of our scene is
the only way to keep this from happening again. This is business, it's not a game.

That shit was a fucking mess. BCS was advertised but that was a mixup. Then the bitch kept saying on the Bridge 9 board that she had a signed contract
from us already. I went on there and verbally assaulted the bitch because the only person who would have signed the contract was ME.
I really think if people did their homework people like this wouldn't get over like they do.
