wireless computer network at home

anyone have it? Anyone install it themselves? I have the modem, router, and of course the computers and printer. Did any of you installl it yourselves? Or have BESTBUY or whoever do it? I want to know if it is easy or difficult. BEST BUY is charging me $160 to do it and I am thinking it is super fucking easy to do. I'd like ot save the money but they say they will secure it and protect it and make sure the signal isn't hijacked by neighbors and shit.

Any ideas or suggestions?

I figure that I don't spend enough time of THORP so now I will be able to be on even if I am taking a shit.

yes I have it
yes I did it
it's not hard, but if you don't know what you are doing you will get frustrated and want to through it out the window

so if they will set it up, secure it and guarentee if it fucks up they will fix it, then do it...

^^^^^^^^ You like a gyser(spelling) of wisdom.
I just figured I'd ask in case it was super easy and they are just taking money from people like a mechanic sometimes does.

Appointment set up for friday at 5:15p.m.

I agree with Steve. The first time I tried setting mine up, it took me about 45 minutes. Then when I went to try and add another laptop about a year later, I killed it. I have set up 2 since. It gets easier. I'd ask them a shit ton of questions while they are there.

I have yet to use the CD that comes with the router. I alsways use the company's website.

i set up mine , it's not hard as long as you follow the directions on the router manual.

took about 30-45min.

just make sure that you password protect it, so douchebags can't use your wireless.

once you have the password thingy made, its really easy to hook up your laptop.

Depends on the hardware, but then again I work at an ISP and set shit up a lot so I would do my own at home. Vista is shit, XP is easy, Mac is easy as long as you know your way through the OS haha.

And hardware is generally easy too. Make sure they set up with WPA security, none of that WEP shit.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.
