Eastern Promises

Watched this last night. A bit different from what I was expecting, but I really enjoyed it. A really good story that played out well.

I wish they went more into the whole russian prison tattoo culture. The russian mob has always been of interest to me.

I thought the same thing. On the dvd there's a 10 minute piece about the tattoo's and their meanings, but I would have liked a bit more.

Really liked the movie, but yeah I wish they had gone a little deeper into the whole tattoo aspect of it.

There's some good books. I've flipped through "Russian Prison Tattoos: Codes of Authority, Domination, and Struggle", it explains shit I think, it was awhile ago.

Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?

watching it at the moment on filmhill.com
pretty good though it's pretty low key. not quite what i was expecting.
i had no idea it was set in London either.

if anything it's just making me even more thirsty to play the new GTA game!

watched it last night on HD On Demand.
i liked it. felt like the ending was a little anti-climactic, but it wrapped the story up well.
i need to watch more movies set in london; i miss that town.
movie looked great in HD, too.

Great movie and terrific bookend to History of Violence. Both rediculously underrated.
