Yup it was 29 years ago (2/2/79) that old Sid Vicious was found dead in his apartment by his mom who had of course bought him the smack.

Yep, Johnny Rotten did a lot to get them out there in the public eye.

Their first controversy came with their appearance on the Bill Grundy show (I think that was his name) where they cursed and acted up, and that was
before Sid had ever joined the band.

Im definitly not disputing that they would have been controversal. I just mean that Sid was was and still is such a symbol of the Sex Pistols... I

I think they would have still made it big. I think they are both kind of separate icons. People not into punk know Sid Vicious and don't know he was
in the sex pistols. And kudos to a band with what, ten songs lasting this long haha.
