Finally saw 3:10 to Yuma

OVERHYPE.

All that "best western since Unforgiven" crap that was being spewed everywhere? It was a decent flick but it's not even in the same genre as Unforgiven. It was more of a Hollywooded western ala Tombstone.

The Proposition. Now thats a western that leaves you picking sand from your teeth afterwards.

it was good to watch, and there were a number of good scenes, but i didn't buy the very end.

added 'the proposition' to netflix.

I still say it was really good. The only thing that bothered me was how clean the sets were. I expect Westerns to be either dusty as hell or pure mud, this one looked like it was steam cleaned beforehand.

I thought it was awsome.

It seriously reminded me of the 90's Tombstone Sharon Stoned shiny clean westerns. for which Silverado pretty much set the bar. ti wasn't terrible, just terribly unbelieveable.

The bad guy helping the good guy take him to jail because he felt sorry for him? What a fruitcake....I think maybe Ben Wade was hanging out on Brokeback Mountain. how do you go from stabbing a dudes neck off with a fork to helping the white hat bring you in?

and how in the hell did that one dude get a silver pleather shirt in the wild west...I was thinking he was going to break out in a musical number at any minute.

I liked it a lot. I thought the ending was kinda cheesy, but it was enjoyable overall.

Guess I missed that part. Ending was odd but overall I like it.

I am far from an aficionado of Westerns so it's hard to say this is run of the mill or anything like that. But overall, I enjoyed it a lot, even the hokey ending.

I have been meaning to give this one a watch. Though, I don't know, I might go check the original out first.
