I like American Justice WAY better because its so damn funny!
"Remember... Straight Edge is all about golf"
"Bats & Gats.... Bats & Gats.... Beat & Shoot the weak!"
"Im talking about holding hands... sharing lunches.... backpacks!"
Who from OLC was in PITBOSS 2000?
and was there ever an actual band called PROHIBITION 2000? |
PROHIBITION 2000 used to come out during some of the last OLC shows hear in Clevo and some others cities. THey would come out with bats, work gloves
and various other "weapons". And mess with anone drinking at the shows. Sometimes grabbing folding chairs live and swinging them around at people.

So they were just like a 'crew' and were never a band?
Was anyone from OLC in Pitboss?
What was the deal with OLC anyway... they sang about straight edge, but then talked about cigars. Were they ever sxe or did they just like to push
peoples buttons?

I think when they where Prohibition 2000 Chubz and Lockjaw where in it and maybe more from OLC. I think the line up changed when they changed their
name to Pitboss 2000. Not sure though. I'm sure Clevo will know.

Still love PB2K, never ever liked OLC.
A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s
a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal
favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

pb2k, PROHIBITION 2000, pittboss, etc was mainly Lockjaw who ran with it after the OLC demise. They moved to C-BUS from Clevo had many many different
members and then moved to Cali. Since late 90's they have called it quits many many times. I guess still doing shows. Now Lockjaw is doing other
things as most you know. I saw the fisrt PB2K show and it featured all of OLC including Mean Steve who was rumoured to have left or not been
assoiciated becasue of his business endevours outside hardcore. Mainly a chain of tanning salons. That is the main reason OLC ended. That and the
Chubby/Ezec issue. In 1997 Ezec moved to Clevo for 2 years with his old girl and that really put a hurting on his shittalking and OLC shows. Some say
that was the reason for the move to C-BUS, but Lockjaw could answer that one. That caused alot of tumoil in the band because EVERYONE in OLC was not
diggin Chubs at all around then. Plus he was working in a non hardcore band that played alternative collegerock called Liquid. Among that he was
trying desperately to start another hardcore band with other members of local bands who would give him the time of day. After they got to know him it
never worked out. Bands were COMMITTED among others.
On a side note I no longer talk to any of them, but John was a good dude. Ezec, John, Frank-ringworm, and us kicked it many times and had a great
time. I just wasn't feeling anymore after a while. Shit got to crazy and fucked up so I lost touch with all them. Plus, the band I was in was never on
par with these guys. We were always the opening, opening band that wore awsome shirts and liked to party so we were envited out with them.

Wow, thanks for OLC history lesson. I liked it better when Chubz was the kid up front in the COS shirt at a COS show
The last time I saw Steve was briefly at that BS 'Last' Integrity show in Cleveland back in '01 I think. He was rocking a bright orange leather
motorcycle jacket with another dude who had the same jacket on. It was kind of odd. The last time I saw OLC was Philly in '96 when like 10 people
showed up.

One of the things I dont understand AT ALL... is the geography of it...
PB2K was from Clevo.... Then Cali, but while they were in Cali they had songs about and preached about Boston.... Now Lockjaw lives in Texas and one
of his newer bands (PC Deathsquad) sings all about being from the Bay area of Cali!?! What the fuck!?
I also dont understand all the shit that Slapshot got for the 'fuck new york' song when Lockjaw has a tattoo of the twin towers on fire with planes
and stuff and a big Boston Red Sox "B" in front of it.

Lockjaw can be pretty funny. I just see him as a poor man's Billy Milano (sp?)

Crime Ridden Society is an awesome album.
American Justice is ok for the skits but the actual songs don't really stand up compared to CRS.

Well, because 'Fuck New York' was published and distributed and I doubt many people know of LockJaw's tat. I didn't know until you just said it. But
then again I could care less about either. Relight the Fire was the best song on that record and I could give a shit is Jon is dead or alive.
