new FLOGGING MOLLY
I have to say this is by far their greatest release. I have been into them for nearly 3 short years but have all releases and spin them very
regularly. Each release is good but unlike SWAGGER(lacks direction but very good), DRUNKIN LULLABIES(awesome more direction and beginning to find
themselves), A MILE FROM HOME(they have found themselves but are still a little uneasy and too cautious), FLOAT( FUCKING A THIS IS IT. THIS IS THE
BAND REALLY HOLDING THEIR OWN.)
NOw I aint trying to start shit and I know all of their releases are very very good. THat not what I am trying to say. However FLOAT is just awesome
from beginning to end. Everythign about it is great. The songs, words, structure, hell even the layout. I'd like to get this on LP just for the
pictures and layout.
I know most will dissagree but I thought I'd throw my stupid opinion out there for ya to read. And know I will go back to jamming this cd FLOAT out.

I am jamming DRUNKIN right now and I love that cd too, but I guess what I mean is it is so damn good. Production, songs etc. Its like a well polished
piece of damn good music. I lacks lacks nothing in making it great but it does have less fast pace muscle if that makes any sense.
What I mean is the stuff most HARDCORE/ PUNK fans would get off on. It has less of it. It is more a well rounded album. Just very fucking good stuff.

I've only given it one listen, but I feel like its definitely not up to the standard of their other releases. This band has always been very high
energy and I think its missing on the new CD. I don't think its even one thing just a million little things that make it less exciting. The
production seems less exciting, Dave doesn't scream like he always has and the vocals just seem less interesting to me. I don't think its a terrible
record or anything, but I was a little disapointed.

I just finished listening to it and I liked it. I don't think it's their best record, but it's still good.

Dude, the Trick Or Treat album smokes! I need to find that movie again as well. Dave King used to get embarrassed when asked about the band, well when
I razzed him years ago when they were first starting out. He's fully cool about it now though.

I gave it a listen. Like Chris said, its lacking the energy and excitement of previous releases but its still very good. It reminded me a bit of REM
in a few places... which I mean as a compliment.

I thought the same exact thing. Almost a CHURCH or REM feel.

listened again today.
it's definitely a strong album, but it's mellow.
i like my molly with a little increased tempo and the occasional yelling.
if all i have is swagger, and what i like is the emotion, which of their albums should i pick up next?

Drunken Lullabies... Definitely.
I have the new album. Listened to it several times. Not bad but very folky. As its been said I like Flogging Molly to be more upbeat with gang vocals.
This is more focused on the Folk and Irish Standard side of their music. Its by no means a bad release, but would some songs to have more intensity.

I like the last album so much more than this one. This one lyrically bores me. The last one was more explorational while still keeping true to the
bands first two albums.

i'll look into drunken lullabies.
is 'far away boys' (the last track on swagger) a fm original? amazing song. the poetic quality is right up there with some of shane's most romantic
songs.

Drunken Lullabies is great and I would check out Within A Mile of Home just for "Light of a Fading Star" and "Don't Let Me Die Still Wondering," let
alone the rest of the album which is great.

DUDE, the TOSSERS are right up your alley. IF you want power from your FLOGGING then it would be the album DRUNKIN LUL.............
