so I'm in hell...
no just Pittsburgh but it feels like hell...
I had an employee quit Wednesday so I jumped on the next flight out from L.A. as we have a ton of big important orders coming up...
so here I sit, alone in the cold while the family is enjoying spring break in Cali....
but to keep me warm I have a new 10 color print to share...
mind you we don't get them often but this is by far the best I have done....
first some background, the Client is Zulu tattoo in LA
http://www.zulutattoo.com/
dude has tattooed Janet Jackson, and she was fine so we'll leave it at that....
anyhow the hard rock cafe is opening some amusement park in south Carolina
http://www.hardrockpark.com/index3.php
inside said park they are opening a "tattoo shop" where you can buy products designed by "top artists," Zulu being one of the 6 they have invited as
the opening run
think Miami ink shirts inside the hard rock....
so since I have been their printer for like 2 years now, I get to print the shirts that middle aged led zeppelin fans get to buy in the oasis of
mediocrity
so they sent me this design, just a hand drawing

10 color simulated process
10 normal out of the jar colors but laid next to each other to create the illusion of millions of colors...
now mind you I don't have my really nice digital camera with me here in the land of the lost, just my 5 year old shitty scanner, but it's better than
the camera phone version...
so here it is

god damn close to perfect...
I'll take better pics when I get home in a month or so...
I have a 2nd one to post up I am just trying to get it to scan
it's only 7 colors but the art is really fucking nice...
thanks for bearing with me I'm cold and tired and miss my wife and kids....
7 color scanned a little better this time
good enough to get an idea I guess
original art

7 spot color print

the inks are a lot closer then they appear here just for whatever reason this scanner is fucking with me tonight...
anyhow maybe they will see a few thousand and I can retire

Sucks about the situation, but the shirt shows why you've got the business you do. Looks great!
