DROPKICK ARE FAR AND AWAY THE BETTER BAND.
I really like STREETDOGS but you have to admit the ROPKICK releases are very very stellar.
Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

Street Dogs.
From the time I first heard the Murphys (on that split 7 inch with The Ducky Boys when it first came out) until Mike left the band, they were my
absolute favorite band. When I heard they were looking for a new singer I was very worried. Then they got Al and I thought that was probably the best
choice they could have made, but still worried that it wouldn't be anything like the band I loved. I got that Curse Of A Fallen Soul 7 inch and
thought Al did a tremendous job and that the band still had pretty much the same feel. Every record since then has gotten farther and farther away
from what they were when they were the top of my list, but this last one has definitely recaptured my interest more than any other since Mike left.
One of the things that was always so fantastic about the old line up was the live show and a LOT of that was Mike. He's one of the best front men out
there today in my opinion and if anything, he's gotten better than he was with The Murphys. Aside from the stage presence aspect of Street Dogs versus
DKM at this point, I'd say that Street Dogs strike me as a much more personal and straight forward band while DKM have become more of an arena act.
Don't get me wrong, they're basically the ONLY arena act that I care about at all, but they're definitely not a street level band anymore and haven't
been for quite some time now. Good for them for their success, but that's not really where I'm comfortable with a band that sings about Punks and
Skins and so on.
Anyway, Street Dogs are a band that I wholeheartedly look forward to each new record and tour, while I am always a bit nervous when I hear about new
DKM stuff and I haven't seen them since the tour for Blackout.

Agreed. The first time I saw DKM was with Mike singing. He blew me away, and the material with him is still my favorite stuff from DKM. I like
their other records (except Blackout which I hated) but to me it's a different band now. Their split cd with The Business was the last real "street
punk" record they released. I like the stuff after that, but the newer stuff doesn't speak to me like the older records did. I will say that Al was
the absolute best replacement they could have chosen.
Street Dogs to me picked up where "Do or Die" left off, minus the Irish stuff. I have yet to see this band live but from stuff I've seen online Mike
has gotten even better. He is definitely one of the best frontmen out there today. Lyrically I can relate to many of the things they sing about in
their lyrics, and to me they've become one of the best blue-collar bands ever. Their albums have gotten better with each release and I can't wait for
the next one to come out. They're one of a small number of bands out there today that still legitimately excite me.

Street Dogs. I like every new Murphy's album less than the one before, and every new Street Dogs album more than the one before. I'm a fan of both
bands, and am pretty curious as to what the next release will be from both.
Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where
cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?
