My trip to Montreal for UFC
Got to the train station at 7am. Train left at 7:45. Had some coffee and breakfast on board. They started serving beer at about 10am and we drank
free all the way there. I was on the VIP car, so I was with Forrest Griffen and Patrick Cote, along with their bodygaurds and such, as well as the
organizers and some hot chicks they had working with them. Forrest actually came to talk to me because he liked my shirt. I was wearing a Dropkick
Murphy's shirt and he came up to tell me he has the same shirt. That guy is the nicest, most down to earth guy you'll ever meet. I got a free copy
of Fight magazine with him on the cover which he signed for me. He was talking with everybody and taking pictures and shit. I got a bunch of free
shirts that were only for people on the Fight Train and not for sale. My favorite one says MMA, but was spelled MM'eh. Pure Canadian. Got to the
hotel and met Matt Hamill. Dude is built like a rock. Lots more drinking was going on, and most people were drunk before 3pm.
Hit the Bell Centre around 7:30. Fucking $10 beers and it was a shitty beer that I hate, but I drank them anyway. I don't know how it looked on tv,
but the lighting and graphics set-up was the best I've ever seen. Absolutely mindblowing. Had good seats on the second level with a great view of
the ring. The ring is bigger than I thought. I guess it just looks smaller on tv. It's too bad the pre-lim fights aren't shown because they were
really good. Only bad match of the night was mentioned above, but Quarry made it entertaining at least. The Rocky IV quote at the end of his
interview was fucking hysterical. Starnes was booed like crazy which is funny, because you have to suck hard to get booed in your home country,
especially in Montreal. The fucking roof blew off the place when GSP came out, I thought I was going to go deaf. At this point I should also mention
that the entire building was surrounded by cops, as they were expecting the worst. The riot squad was on call that night in case GSP lost. It was so
much fun to see live.
Lots more drinking on the train ride home. I've had about 5 hours sleep since I got up Friday morning as I couldn't sleep Friday night and there
wasn't much time to sleep after all the partying last night. I'm going to crash fucking hard tonight.

Sounds like a blast. I watched at a friends house. The Quarry shit was great, had us laughing our asses off.

I should also add that the DKM shirt I was wearing got attention everywhere I went. I was wearing this shirt:

Forrest told me a couple of times how much he loves the shirt. He came out to a Murphy's song when he fought in Ireland. But everywhere I went
people were asking me about the shirt. I was even pointed out by people saying shit like "hey there's the guy with the shirt, look" or "hey it's the
DKM guy" and other assorted things. It was kind of weird.
