I could understand someone saying it's overrated but to say its a pile of shit or or a gian turd is a bit much. Seems like people just like to hate

I hated it and thought it was terrible, but that's because I prefer a good story over flashy special effects. To me the story in the Matrix was weak
and the acting was even worse. I was really disappointed in Lawrence Fishburne who I normally really enjoy. To me, The Matrix was all style over
substance, hence why I think it was fucking terrible.

Probably in my Top 10 and the soundtrack isn't half bad either. You can find that movie pretty much anywhere that sells movies online.

It's my opinion too. There
really isn't anything more than the poorly fleshed out skeleton of a story there at all and it's pretty apparent from the acting of some of the decent
actors involved (like Fishburne) that they didn't feel it was a worthwhile expenditure of effort. By the way, the effects I was referring to are the
fight effects which it's common knowledge that they were taken directly from thousands of Kung Fu movies that have been using that stuff for decades.

I said the movie had GOOD acting and GREAT effects. The acting got more stale with each installment IMHO.
