Im going to Vietnam

Im going with my dad who's making his first (and probably last) return trip since he was there in 1967. We leave on May 15th and staying until the 31st. Im nervous and excited. We're gonna spend most of our time in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and make trips out to where my dad's base was and other places around there.

I'll try to take lots of pictures and post some if anyone's interested.

Nope. Not his treat. I asked to tag along so I have to pay my own way. Also how many times will I ever be able to go to Vietnam with my dad? Probably never again so it's worth it.

My dad had been toying with the idea of going to Vietnam for a few years and this year he decided to do it. It was called off at one point because my stepmother lost her job, but he decided he's not getting any younger so we should go anyway.

Not sure where Phuket is on the map, but I'll look for it and see if we can make it out there. It's gotta be great with a name like that.

Sounds like a great trip to take with your old man, probably learn a few things about him.
Try and get one of those elephant taxi's.

Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?

Phuket is in Thailand.
I visited Asia for the first time last summer, checked out Hong Kong and Koh Samui (island off Thailand).
I liked it so much I visited again three months later.
Incredible place. I'd love to move out there one day.
The kinda place you visit and then come home and wonder why the hell you live where you do.
