WHITE TRASH HARDCORE ROCK AND ROLL

What happened to the BEST (at least in my opinion) songwriter in hardcore history?! The most recent thing I've found Rob involved with is the Forbidden Brothers, but I guess he left that project too.(his contributions were great!)I know he loves the hard drugs by interviews I've read, but I pray to the night sky he'll come out with something soon. Not one day goes by without me blasting BFB, Ramallah, or Sinners And Saints, and making everyone I know listen if they like it or not. If I had a nickel for every time I went to a party and took over the stereo with Blood For Blood or Ramallah....well I guess I'd have a shitload of nickels. Anyone heard anything lately? I highly doubt he reads this shit...

I would LOVE a Rob update. I want the book he is writing (was writing?) to come out as well as the accoustic stuff Mark was talking about. Hell, I want to hear ANYTHING from him. Been too long.

I talked to him the other night. He's doing alright. His birthday was on 4/30 so I dropped a call in on him. No mention of new music at all in this conversation. I did play him my new record about 2 months ago and he proclaimed it "the best thing you've ever done". And that got him a little gased up about doing new music but as for if/when that will materialize, I can't say. He played me some new songs he's written and they were pretty awesome.

Fuckin A! Thanks for the update Mark! I hope he knows he has a legion of fans waiting to hear whatever he has to offer. None of us are promised tomorrow, so I hope he gives us something soon.

I think you may have to wait this out for a while. But you know if/when he puts something new out then it will be worth the wait.

What does he do now? I mean I know he is recovering and all and I hope he is in control and things get much better for him but what is he doing now? I mean a guy like that that kicks so much ass in the music realm what the fuck does he do when he is not doing music? Does he get coffee? Party? Eat alot? Shop for records? Vote? What is going on?

Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

I wonder that about all people from popular bands. Even bands that are still active, but taking time off like....

- what is Keith Morris doing today?
- does Jeff Clayton have a day job?
- why does Paul McCartney even bother to get out of bed?
- what was Ben Carr (the dancing guy from the Bosstones) doing before they called him for the reunion?
- does Springa go to a job everyday?
- and so on... and so on....

I think Rob reads alot. And plays video games. And drinks Pepsi.

He definitely doesn't buy CD's or records. I've never known him to own music since the days when Sheer Terror and Madball were all the rage. He just hears stuff once and remembers it. Its really weird. I played him an Elliott Smith record and the next time I saw him he was playing it all on the guitar and singing the words and stuff. Maybe he's a savant.

He definitely doesn't have online access. Dude lives out of a duffle bag. He is still in the 80's as far as accomodations go.

Glad this thread was made. I was wondering how Rob was doing since Mark's last update. I wont be able to express any better than what others have done, at how much I wish he would do music. He was one of the last people in Hardcore that made me feel like I could relate to them in a way. Its almost like not hearing from a friend (musicaly speaking). I dont know how to describe it. So fuck it nevermind.

yes,Jeff Clayton still works a day job as far as I know....I think he used to be in printing, but I'm not sure what he does these days.
I know he sales a lot on ebay....username: CactusJeff.
