Wonder if they do any BFB covers :D

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

Mahoney was always very cool via e-mail. He had that B4B web site a few years back. I e-mailed him a bunch of times when Wasted Youth Brew came out. He seemed really nice.

Jeremy from Diecast was their first bass player.

I consider the "ex-members" advertisement to be deceiving if it isn't the songwriter or the singer involved. Not just for BFB but for all bands.

I agree with that. I just figure if your trying to sell your band or trying to help a band any time you can link them to a more well known band it can help.

Oh for sure! And I'm not using this topic to lash out against Mike or anything. It was just a thought that popped into my head as I read this.

I generally connect with a band over their songs or the voice. If I get duped into checking out another band because their bass player used to back up a talented songwriter then I'm gonna be pissed. ha

Sorry, just of the opinion that the more he came to the front of B4B as a "personality" in the band, the more the band started to become a silly caricature of itself.

All my favorite songs by Blood For Blood are the ones Rob sings on."Personality"? He writes all the lyrics, so why the fuck wouldn't he sing them? Lemmy's probably your least favorite Motorhead member.

Agreed. I've seen so many bands that advertise ex-members of "insert band" so I'll check it out. It usually turns out to be somebody that played bass on one track 10 years ago.

At least he played on Sacrifice, and has one of my favorite Motorhead songs on his resume, Over Your Shoulder. Probably not my favorite member though...Philthy was the crazy fucker!

Mark said that Jeremy was the original bass player, but Im not sure about Greg. The line-ups I listed are from Wikapedia.

That was really reaching.

If you can't tell the difference between the greatness of the Demo to Spit My LAst breath (and most of revenge) and the silly cartoonish 'white trash motherfucker woe is me white trash white trash fuck you my pecker white trash fuck you white trash' nonsense I'd venture to guess you picked up on the band around that time.

Writing the music and or lyrics has nothing to do with it. There is a clear cut difference from when Rob was a member of a band called Blood for Blood to when Blood for Blood was a promotional vehicle for his pissing and moaning.

Greatness to cartoonish.......riiiight. He writes the music and lyrics, and I'll always love Blood For Blood for they stand for...brutal fucking honesty and great music to drink beer to. In my opinion music gets no better than this band. And I'm sure when they put out another album, it'll just get better.

In my opinion, it all got better with each new record. I liked the progression.
While I still love each record for it's own reason, I liked how they matured as a band. Serenity was a tight EP.
