While I still love each record for it's own reason, I liked how they matured as a band. Serenity was a tight EP. |
I like them all too, dont get me wrong! I like Serenity also, but I like "Livin in Exile" and "Outlaw Anthems" the best.

Outlaw Anthems will always be my favorite, but Ramallah's Kill A Celebbrity (yeah, I know, different band) finishes a real close second.
Silence is golden but violence is platinum.

Yeah, prety much. As for old bass players.... Wasn't there just Ian and Gina? |
Greg Dellaria - Bass
Jeremy Wooden - Bass |
No idea who they are. What album / demo spans were they around for? |
Mark said that Jeremy was the original bass player, but Im not sure about Greg. The line-ups I listed are from Wikapedia. |
Jeremy played on the first demo, I believe. The song "Life" is on Wasted Youth Brew. There were 4 other songs from those sessions that are pretty much
lost.
Greg played on the "Hurt You" demo.

Lemmy's probably your least favorite Motorhead member. |
That was really reaching.
If you can't tell the difference between the greatness of the Demo to Spit My LAst breath (and most of revenge) and the silly cartoonish 'white trash
motherfucker woe is me white trash white trash fuck you my pecker white trash fuck you white trash' nonsense I'd venture to guess you picked up on the
band around that time.
Writing the music and or lyrics has nothing to do with it. There is a clear cut difference from when Rob was a member of a band called Blood for Blood
to when Blood for Blood was a promotional vehicle for his pissing and moaning. |
Its just music and people can interpret it how they want - that's kind of the cool thing about music. I understand what you're saying. What one person
sees as being solid (the Hurt You demo) could be seen by someone else as being "restrained". They were just another hardcore band until Rob decided
to stop holding back and grab the reigns more firmly for "Revenge on Society" and then they blew up. But that doesn't mean its gonna appeal to
everyone. To each his own.

I understand what you're saying but Blood for Blood was never 'just another hardcore band' from the first note they set themselves apart from just
about everything else that was going on at that point in time aside from maybe Cold as Life.

Personally, I agree with you. But I've liked every step of their recording career for what it was. But I do recall them being buried deep on shows and
not really standing out at all until "revenge on society". That's when they went from being just another band opening a show to the band that everyone
was coming to see. I guess that's what I meant by that.....
Shifting the subject just a little, I'd love to see some of the other songs off their old demo get released. They'd never let it happen but some of
those songs weren't so bad at all. They also had some other songs that were caught on tape from live radio performances. I'm sure Mike Mahoney has
copies of them but the band would never let them get released. They were songs from the time period between "Hurt You" and "Spit My Last Breath". I've
never seen a band throw away so many great songs.

The Angelic Upstarts cover off that worldwide tribute is excellent.
Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where
cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?

they went downhill for me with Revenge....
That album doesn't have one good song in my book and to this day I kick myself for paying £15 for it.

couldn't agree more.
in the past i've used the words "a sad watered down parody of themselves" so you can guess i back pretty much everything Jason has said here.
Ramallah is just outrageous.

soooo.
i remember back a ways , when there was that www.whitetrashrob.com site, there was mention of B4B covering Here To Stay by Sheer Terror. What ever became of that one? I thought it was going
to be on Serenity when it came out.
