input needed: best center city cheesesteak
here's the deal...
i'm not in the city much, but when i am, i'm either up by the art museum (friend's place) or old city (khyber).
if i want a steak, i go to geno's. parking is easy, it's open 24/7 and i know what i'm gonna get.
now, i know there are places that people like better, but they're usually small neighborhood joints nowhere near where i am and hard for me to find.
(i'm retarded, see.)
so i ask, what would you recommend the the most delicious, centrally located steak.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

and I just read that myself for the first time. Surprised that Steve's won the best cheesesteak in 2007.

The Northeast has the best:
1. Chinks
2. Fruscos
3. Steves Prince
I live within 10 blocks of all of these places. I love my life.

The Frusco special is the shit. Cheesesteak, fries, and a can of soda for what like $5.50?

See there's a problem with this thread. You (BD) ask for the best places downtown, but it CAN'T work like that. Stick with the list from WIP.

nice coverage, dog, thanks.
interesting to see that west chester's 'the pepper mill' made the list. i've been enjoying their sandwiches since i was a kid.
i've been meaning to try tony luke's, since it's not far from 9th & passyunk, but i don't think it's open late.
sounds like between campo's and sonny's we got two strok ontions around the corner from the khyber.

I'ma keep bumping this thread for you suburbanites to read. Fuck Pat's an Geno's. If you want greasy nasty quick shit go ahead. If you want a REAL
cheesesteak hit up that list to the first 10. Chinks is probabaly at the top.
