what's the farthest you've ever traveled SPECIFICALLY for a show?
growing up on the east coast, my regular-show-going-to territory ranged from nyc to dc.
so at the most, that would have been about 225 miles.
i've been fortunate to catch great shows when i'm out of town for work or vacation, though. not like i traveled for the the show, but at least saw it
while i was there.
- caught shane macgowan while in nyc for work from san fran
- caught shane macgowan while in london on vacation from nyc
- caught shane macgowan while in santa cruz fro work from nyc
ok, you caught me, i schedule my life around the toothless one.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

Drove 10 hours to Portland, Maine to see The Business and DKM.
Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where
cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?

LA is cool because you have:
San Diego 2 hrs
Phoenix 6 hrs
Las Vegas 4 hrs
San Francisco 6 hrs
and everything in between.

I'm in Mass.
Drove to Georgia for an Oi fest.
Flew to Chicago for Provoke's last show.
Caught a few shows in Florida, California and Colorado but they were just cause I happen to be there.
Craziest thing I've ever done to go to a show is I drove straight 26 hours from Florida, got home, showered, went to Worchester for Blood For Blood.

Pawtucket, RI to NYC for Bad Brains.
I think thats the furthest, and one of the only times I've traveled far for a show.... Unless you count Slapshot shows in Maine, Florida, England,
Scotland, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden etc.

Yeah, it was awesome...wore a white t shirt, came out lookin like I just saw Gwar, only all the splatters were red. They even had a trapdoor in the
theater for the cellar scenes, and this dead girl would pop up and throw blood on us.

Total Estimated Time: 13.0 hours 4 minutes Total Estimated Distance: 792.06 miles
Portsmouth New Hampshire to Novi Michigan
Time to reveal where I went wrong in my younger years.....
It was for.......
The gathering of the Juggalos.
Yeah, hope you guys don't think any less of me.
For those that don't know, it was a 3 day festivle of shows surrounding around Psychopathic Records (AKA: Insane Clown Posse, Twizted, Etc)
Talk about a skeleton in the closet.... but unlike the Korn / Slipknot fans that all of a sudden discover Hardcore or "real" metal and try to ast
like they never heard of Korn or Slipknot, I do not hide the fact that I used to be into that shit. Just not somthing I scream from the rooftops.

That was a fun fuckin trip though! Me and my best friend taking turns driving his car and our other 2 friends in another car. One smooth dead
stretch thru Canada we road up beside the other car in the oncoming lane and started throwing food at their window.

Evil Dead: The Musical was started in Toronto by college kids. It's a killer time! (pun intended)
Honestly though, it's one of those honestly great shows that you should never pass up.

I've gone back to Austin from Durango, Colorado twice now for the first two years of the Fun Fun Fun Fest. I flew both times and don't wanna bother to
look up the mileage, but it's an 18 hour drive, I know that.
Oh, I forgot. Several years back I road tripped from Austin to Madison, Wisconsin for a festival. If I remember correctly, it was called A New Hope.
My main reason for going was that Integrity was playing and I was very into them at the time. Best bonus for me was that Bowel ended up playing a set
and that shit was hilarious. That must've been '93 or so....

I looked it up and could only find dates in Toronto.
I'm going to keep my eye open to see if it comes back around, I'd love to check it out.
