St. Catharines to London would have topped my list, 191km or 118m to see Blacklisted. Other than that Toronto was only 100km away and I went there all the time and Buffalo was closer, only 29 miles.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

yeah but Dave and Brian and I have driven to Toronto (22 hours drive) to play one show. I think that probably wins it.

from Chicago to Albany for Dying Breed, 100 Demons, Ringworm and Death Threat

or

from Chicago to Framingham, MA for that last back to school jam with slapshot and stars and stripes (of which we saw maybe 10 minutes total of bands all day because we got smashed in the chinese restaurant across the street in the bar downing scorpion bowls.)

We got there at the beginning, watched 2 or 3 songs from whatever band then wandered off to find somthing for grown ups to do. Discovered the place with the scorpion bowls and stayed there like 8 hours. Think we went in to see 2 songs from blood for blood and maybe 3 from slapshot.

Yeah, I was one of the people that showed up late and I was quite pissed. Got to see Blood for Blood which was my main concern. Stars & Stripes was fuckin awesome as well. I also snagged me a "Ramallah: But a Whimper" poster they made for that one day only to sell the cd at the B9 table... Still on my wall.
