I've been in my PJs all day doing nothing constructive.
I was going to hit up a strip joint tonight for a midget stripper, but now I'm thinking I'll just stay in and watch bad horror movies all night.

And it's the anniversary D-Day for those that are interested.

Just got home, pick my wife up from work in an hour, then drinky-drinky time. Oh, and picking up our new puppy tomorrow, I will post pics.

Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?

if there's one thing i've learned in my time on this earth, it's that most of the time people who seem together and happy aren't. it's a fucking illusion, and one that's tempting to get fooled by. it really is about the small things in life, this place being one of them. i'm not kidding either. i really enjoy chatting with you guys on here, you included joe. you definitely have a talent and if i haven't told you before i really like your work and always look forward to the next one. that's the best you can hope for in life, a few good friends and hopefully leave a mark on the world. i struggle sometimes with keeping it all together but i try not to envy other people because you never know what's behind the mask. as fucked up as life can be it's worth it for those little moments when it all comes together

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, ?You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I?m just not close enough to get the job done.? George Carlin

So yesterday I had to go to AC for work. We get there, scope out the job site and the wallpaper(which isn't paper, it's a heavy heavy vinyl with a canvas backing and the pattern is a real bitch) and decide we can't do a satisfactory job with all the corners and shit we'd have to wrap and the pattern yadda yadda and the woman that owns this penthouse is a real hard-on for minor detail. Boss decides to pull off the job. Okay, so, short day right? On my way back something just gives in my mini-van. No acceleration. Pull off to the side, try to start it... nope, no dice. It cranks, sounds different, and doesn't turn over. Call AAA get a tow back to Philly(thank God for AAA Plus man) at no cost to myself. Take it to the mechanic down the street from my house.

That was yesterday, Thursday. So today, Friday, I take my tools that I put in my wife's car and have her drive me to the job. Meet my boss and co-worker there. We get there and there're plumbers installing sinks in the kitchen we were supposed to wallpaper today. The ceiling no less. Boss decides this is going to be a problem for us even if it isn't for the plumbers. We pull off, I get the day off. My wife had to work though, so I have no transportation. And the mechanic calls me later in the day and lets me know that my mini-van problem is the timing belt. So I'm getting that, the water pump, some cam head seals all replaced and shit. There's a big oil leak and there's so much oil dude can't even tell where it's coming from. Hopefully that's just the cam heads and not anything else. That'll be ready Tuesday. 700 bucks. Plus the other day my wife's car was overheating and spewing coolant from the front of the radiator!

We are taking some hits right before the move get's underway. Maybe the few extra bucks we're getting from stuff we sell will help us out. God willing all will run smoothly once these car problems are handled.

Dave,

My experience is that life shit's on your head just as things are looking better... just keep looking ahead to Portland. Things wll fuck up... plans will get ruined... but in the end, you'll make it out of Philly, which is the plan.

Not trying to be optimistic... I'm a bitter, jaded, pessimistic asshole... but try to stay as positive as you can (APAYC*). :D

I had a tall Newcastle earlier today. I have to work tomorrow night at 8 so Im trying to stay up as late as possible tonight so I can sleep all day tomorrow. I wish I still had my 12yo bottle of Jamesons but I polished that off yesterday. 1 Guinness down, 5 to go.

I still got that PMA. (I wanna get that tattooed somehwere....)

When it rains it pours though, as they say. Fuck Phily though.

Worst part about that van... repairing it is 100 bucks shy of it's trade-in value. I still owe 300 on it. I'm telling you, once I get on my feet in Portland that thing is gone and I'm getting something new. Bad credit be damned!

this weekend sucks.
we were supposed to go to the beach for three days with friends.
well, my wife and kids went.
i'm at home in front of a pair of fucking computers working my ass off.
actually kind of disappointed in myself as a parent right now.

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

and that's what makes you a good parent. New 5 week old puppy, got him yesterday. He's cool. I can see some shit getting destroyed in the near future though.
